My Teen Has Doubt

Doubt Counseling

Your child has doubt. It is okay.

We are here to help!

My name is Ron Davis. I am the founder of CORE Apologetics, and I am very passionate about helping those who are experiencing religious doubt, especially teenagers and young adults. My commitment to you: to help you help your child overcome his/her doubt. I also commit to engaging with you as long as it is necessary. Here is my information, and I look forward to dialoguing with you: Ron Davis Information.

The biggest question that I get from parents is: what have I done wrong?

The quick answer is: nothing! Religious doubt, especially in the world we live in today, is extremely common.

We find ourselves in a culture that provides instant access to unbelievable amounts of information. Your child, when faced with questions about what they have been taught from Scripture, will probably search the internet for an answer.

The second biggest question is: what do I do now?

  • Allow the conversation to take place. Don't act like something is majorly wrong with your child because they are asking questions about the faith. Embrace the questions, and provide the best answers you can.
  • Realize that you don't have to know everything. It is okay to just let the questions be asked and allow yourself time to find the right answer.
  • Reach out for help. We are certainly happy to dialogue with you and your child about what is going on in their hearts and minds.

It may be a good idea for you and your child to go through the initial steps listed below. You are certainly welcome to reach out to us before, but this could be something to help us help you navigate the doubt your child is experiencing.
